Regular Order, Day 6
- Today we will have adoration all day in the 2nd floor chapel. Please come and adore the Lord for a few minutes today.
- Tomorrow will be a Lenten Day of Reconciliation and Stations of the Cross. All Students will attend during their theology classes. Please go to your theology classes as normal, and your teacher will bring the class over to the chapel for the duration of the class. You will need to bring your student prayer book to the chapel on Friday.
- This Friday, any HR who collected $250 last week for the Mission Drive is eligible to wear Fresh Kicks. Your HR teacher will let you know if your HR made it. Fresh kicks should be as follows: Shoes must cover the toes and have backs. Slides, flip-flops, and sandals are not allowed. Students may wear Crocs, but they must be in ‘sport mode.’ White socks may be worn in place of black socks, but socks must be worn. Each qualifying HR will be given a bracelet. Any student who wants to wear fresh kicks from that HR much have that bracelet on when they are wearing fresh kicks. The bracelet will indicate they are allowed to wear the shoes and will not be given a PH for being out of dress code. Any student not wearing the proper bracelet and wearing fresh kicks is eligible for receiving a PH for being out of dress code. Please see your HR teacher on Thursday or Friday morning for the bracelet.
- Want to be crowned the chess king of Jesuit High School? The chess club will be facilitating a chess tournament for the mission drive next week at lunchtime in the commons. Admission is $10 if you pay before the tournament and $15 for entry the day of. Please see Mr. Campos during the first half of lunch in Room 309 to register. It is set to begin next Tuesday April, 4 and will conclude on Wednesday April, 5. Winner will receive a dozen of Señora Campos’ famous homemade chocolate chip cookies.
- The Green Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 416 to pick up T-shirts.
- The Pro-Life Club is hosting a guest speaker, Mrs. Shelly Melton, from the Women’s New Life Clinic today for the entire lunch period in Room 316. All are invited to attend.
- The Final Four teams we all picked, right? Discuss March Madness and other topics at the Sports Analysis Club meeting during the second half of lunch in the Student Activities Office.
- Weekly NHS recycling pick up will take place today after school in Room 112.
- The Video Games Club will meet after school in Room 116.
- The Jesuit Philelectic Society proudly presents our spring production of the hilarious musical comedy Something Rotten! this weekend and the weekend after Easter in the Jesuit auditorium, with a preview tonight at 6:30 and shows on Friday and Saturday evening at 7:30. This production stars underclassmen Nate Costantini, Cullen Morris, Keshaun Tervalon, David Hulefeld, James Ralph, Logan Marcel, Finn Connolle, John Connolle, and James Vaicius, as well as upperclassmen Josh Walker, Albert Favalora, Wajid Zahid, and Omar Hussein. This production features amazing sets built by senior Crew Chief Chris Gieseler and his team Foster McDaniel, Peter Favalora, JP Ganucheau, Logan Simoneaux, Connor Wilken, and Roscoe Fell. This production also stars faculty Phil, Mrs. Mary Favalora. Use this link to purchase tickets.
- The golf team will face Brother Martin this afternoon at Chateau starting at 4:00.
- The varsity baseball team will host St. Charles Catholic this evening at John Ryan Stadium with first pitch set for 7:00. The jv game begins at 4:00.
- The 9th grade baseball team will play at Rummel this afternoon starting at 4:30.
- Juniors are reminded that Service Contracts for finalized service projects are available on Canvas and are due to Mr. Delatte by April 27.
- Juniors: Your College Counseling Questionnaire is due Monday, April 3rd. Please check your College Counseling Class on Canvas for instructions.
- Seniors who did not pick up their graduation announcements last week can do so today during lunch in the Student Activities Office.
- Senior intramural cabbageball forms are available in the student activities office. Forms and fees are due tomorrow to Mr. Orillion.
- An admissions representative from UConn is visiting Jesuit today during lunch in the College Counseling Suite (across from the small chapel).
