Fathers and sons recently gathered in the Chapel of the North American Martyrs for the annual Father-Son Mass, a cherished tradition that celebrates the special bond between them. This year, the Mass was led by Fr. Jon Polce, S.J., who delivered a poignant homily on the themes of gratitude and the enduring importance of masculine leadership in the Church and family life.

Following Mass, seniors Degan Danserau and Jack Lauricella offered heartfelt speeches about their fathers. They spoke with admiration and love, highlighting the inspiring leadership and guidance their fathers have provided. These speeches served as a powerful reminder of the role fathers play in shaping the character and values of their sons.

The Blue Jay fathers and sons moved to the Student Commons for a traditional steak dinner, generously provided by alumnus Max Grueling ‘06. This meal provided an intimate setting for fathers and sons to share stories, laughter, and fellowship.

The evening unfolded as a blend of spiritual reflection and heartfelt celebration, reinforcing the strong sense of community that defines Jesuit High School. It was a memorable occasion that underscored the importance of family bonds, spiritual leadership, and the tradition of passing down values from one generation to the next.
