In what head golf coach Owen Seiler ”75 called a “two-club wind,” the Jesuit golf team bested Brother Martin, 158-167. The match was played on Tuesday, March 25, at Lakewood Golf Club in New Orleans.

Each team penciled in five starters. The top four scores from each school counted toward the final team totals.

Sophomore Grant Glorioso, who won the individual title at the Beau Chene High School Golf Classic last weekend, led the way with a low nine-hole round of 38. Senior Cole Johnson posted a 39. Classmate Alex Anderson shot a 40. Seniors C.J. Blagrove and Will Dufour shots 41s. Only one of the scores counted.

Practice round scores included the following: seniors Will Myers (39) and Joe McAloon (43); junior Francis Plough (47), sophomores Carlo Carino (41) and Johnny Cedro (45), and freshman Nolan Lambert (40).

The Blue Jays, who are now 3-0 in spring district competition, return to Lakewood on Thursday, March 27, to face the Holy Cross Tigers.
