Special Mass Day Order, Day 5

  • Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place today after Mass until 3 pm in the 2nd floor chapel.
  • The varsity football team will host Rummel tonight at The Shrine with kickoff set for 7:00.  Pre-sale tickets are $10.00 each for adults and non-Jesuit students and $5.00 each for children (ages 6-11).  Tickets are available for purchase daily until 3:30 p.m. at the front desk.  Tickets purchased at the gate are $15.00 each.  Cash and credit cards will be accepted.  Both student and faculty ID’s will be accepted at the gate.  Note that stadium parking ($10.00 per vehicle) and concessions purchases are cashless.  Blue Jay fans should enter the complex at Clarius Dr. and park in Lot A. The theme for the game is a Blue Out.
  • The homecoming court will be presented during halftime, and the homecoming queen will be crowned.
  • NCAA 25 games will continue today during lunch in the commons. We are officially past the first round of the tournament. Games are: USC vs Florida, South Carolina vs Alabama, Georgia vs Michigan.
  • Ice Cream Social Club merch is back. Grab a form from Mr. Hatty during lunch for purchase instructions. All, not just club members, are welcome to purchase.
  • The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
  • The Movie Critics Club will meet today after school in Room 221 to watch Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho
  • The junior varsity and jr. high cross country teams will compete in the Metro Meet at City Park on Saturday.
  • The jv football team will play at Rummel on Saturday starting at 10:00.
  • The swimming team will compete in the Metro Meet today and on Saturday at Franco’s in Mandeville.
  • JV and Varsity Practice has been cancelled today. 8th grade soccer tryouts have been postponed to Monday.
  • All members of Peer Support must meet Monday during the first half of lunch in St. Ignatius Hall to prepare for second quarter presentations. Please see Mrs. Delaney or your faculty leader if you cannot attend.
  • Need help hitting your academic stride? National Honor Society offers tutoring in all subjects every day during the first half of lunch in Room 220. 
  • Calliope is open for submissions of fiction, poetry, and visual art. Submissions will be considered for inclusion in the Blue Jay News online and for the annual print journal published in the spring semester. Students should email their work to calliope@jesuitnola.org.
