Regular Order, Day 5
- Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place today until 3:00 in the 2nd floor chapel.
- The varsity football team will play at Teurlings Catholic tomorrow night in the regional round of the state playoffs with kickoff set for 7 p.m. All tickets must be purchased online through the GoFan app, and your phone will serve as your ticket. Tickets are priced at $12 for ages 10 and up. Concession purchases are also cashless. There is no charge for parking. A clear bag policy will not be enforced for this game.
- All students who have turned in permission forms for the spirit bus should meet today after school at 3:15 in the Commons.
- The Fishing club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 313.
- The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
- Any Spanish club members available to take down the ofrenda please meet today during second half of lunch in front of the resource center.
- The Anime Club will meet today during all of lunch in Room 116 to watch Hunter X Hunter.
- The varsity soccer team will compete in the Brother Martin Soccer Classic tonight and on Saturday on the Lafreniere turf fields. The team plays Vandebilt Catholic tonight at 7:00. On Saturday morning the team faces Haynes at 10:00 before closing out tourney play vs. Bonnabel at 4:00.
- The jv and 9th grade team will also compete in the Brother Martin Soccer Classic on the Lafreniere grass fields this evening and on Saturday.
- The varsity wrestling team will compete in the Gulf Coast Clash in Mobile, AL this evening and on Saturday.
- The 9th grade basketball team will compete in the Hahnville Tournament on Saturday.
- The swimming team will compete in the state meet in Sulphur on Friday and Saturday. Competition begins at 4:00 on both days.
- The Witness Project, a new campus ministry initiative, is featuring senior Nick Rosevally and his talk about “Knowing Yourself and Growing in Faith.” Please join us Monday during the second half of lunch in Room 120.
Results:
- Congratulations to the chess team on a very successful regular season in the LHSAA esports fall competition. Freshman Arav Kamboj finished second overall in the state for junior varsity. Austin Janusa is currently seeded first in state going into varsity playoffs.
- The Varsity Basketball team beat Carver 65-39 on Wednesday and L.B. Landry 56-46 on Thursday. In both games Brewer Nitcher lead the Jays with 12 points and 13 rebounds and 23 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Against Carver, Ethan Lapeze added 11 points and Sven Jensen chipped in 10 points. Against Landry, Ben Cimini added 11 points and five clutch free throws.
