Tryouts for the 2025-2026 Jesuit Cheerleading Team are on Thursday and Friday, February 20 and 21 in the Benson Arena (gymnasium) & Roussel Building on Banks Street.

A mandatory clinic will be held on Thursday, February 20 from 6 – 9 p.m. All material needed for the tryout will be taught during this time, including a cheer, a chant, and a small dance routine. There is a $30 registration fee.

The tryouts will be held on Friday, February 21 from 6 – 8 p.m. You MUST attend Thursday’s clinic in order to tryout.

Tryouts are open to anyone who will be attending an all-girls Catholic school in the 2025-26 school year and will be entering grades 8-12. Tryouts are designed for all cheerleader hopefuls as well as returning cheerleaders. The co-ed squad performs at basketball and football games, parades, school functions, state competitions, and National competition.

Attire:

• Please wear a full-length white shirt/tank, modest athletic shorts, and tennis shoes.
• Have ALL of your hair pulled back and out of your face. Hair must be in a high ponytail.
• No jewelry (Medical ID Tags are permitted)

Bring:

• $30 Registration Fee
• Water
• A copy of your most current report card
• Tryout Form

Jesuit High School, across Banks Street from the main campus at 4133 Banks Street, New Orleans, LA.
Thursday- Benson Arena (gymnasium)
Friday- Roussel Building
