Regular Order, Day 4

• Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place today until 3 pm in the 2^nd floor chapel.
• Jesuit students and girls from Catholic schools are invited to attend the Campus Ministry Night next Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 pm. There will be games, Adoration, and confession. Food and drinks will be provided!
• Signups are still open for intramural basketball through the end of the regular season. Eighth graders must sign up by homeroom in IMleagues. Tennis shoes must be worn for intramural basketball.
• The upperclassmen intramural soccer championship between the Athletico Delfino and Ohio FC will take place today during lunch on Will Clark Field.
• The Anime Club will meet today during all of lunch in Room 116 to watch Kaguya: Love is War
• The Ultimate Frisbee team will meet today during the second half of lunch on Will Clark.
• The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
• The varsity wrestling team will compete in the state tournament today and on Saturday at the Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City.
• The varsity basketball team will host Warren Easton tonight in the Benson Arena with tip off set for 7:00.  Senior Night ceremonies will take place prior to tip off.  The jv game begins at 5:45, while the 9^th grade game starts at 4:30.
• The varsity baseball team will continue play in the Pearl River Tournament facing Ponchatoula at Northshore this afternoon with first pitch set for 4:00.  On Saturday the team will conclude tournament play facing Covington at Pearl River starting at 1:30.
• The varsity rugby team will host St. Pius (TX) at Marconi on Saturday starting at 11:00.  A match against St. Paul’s follows at 1:00.
• The varsity lacrosse team will host Hoover (AL) on Saturday evening at Muss Bertilino starting at 5:30.
• The jv basketball team will compete in the St. Michael the Archangel tournament in Baton Rouge on Saturday.
• The 9^th grade baseball team will play a doubleheader at Mandeville on Saturday starting at 10:00.
• The varsity soccer team will host St. Paul’s tomorrow afternoon in a state semifinal contest at John Ryan Stadium starting at 2:00.  Admission is $10.00 each for adults and students (non-Jesuit and non-St. Paul’s) and $5.00 each for students (Jesuit and St. Paul’s) and children (ages 6-11).  Note that student ID’s are not accepted at the gate for this LHSAA playoff contest.  Pre-sale tickets are available for purchase today until 3:30.

Results:

On Tuesday, the varsity baseball team beat Mandeville 5-0 in their season opener.  Jake Moreci was the winning pitcher.  Moreci pitched five innings and struck out seven batters.  Brandon Thomas and Calvin Magee pitched the final two innings.  Tyler Sciambra hit a RBI double to the left field wall scoring Roman Larre’. On Thursday, the team defeated Pope John Paul 8-5.  Zach Friloux was the winning pitcher in relief.  Maes Martin pitched four innings and struck out four batters.  Michael Brothers and Derek DeLatte each had two hits.
