Regular Order, Day 3
- The Robotics team will take a group picture today immediately following morning assembly in the courtyard.
- Join the Society of St. Joseph in praying the rosary today during the first half of lunch in the second floor chapel.
- The Ice Cream Social will meet today during the second half of lunch on the second floor of the Roussell building.
- Members of Mu Alpha Theta will meet today during the second half of lunch in St. Ignatius Hall.
- The varsity baseball team plays at Terrebonne this evening with first pitch set for 6:00.
Results:
- Congratulations to the 8th grade lacrosse team for capping off their season with a 17-1 win over Catholic High in Baton Rouge on Saturday. Gage Falterman scored five goals, Charlie Combe added three, and Hudson Fein had two to lead a balanced offensive attack that also saw goals scored by Logan Smith, Walker Adams, Andrew Amoss, Palmer Guste, Michael Talbot, Leo Combel, and Tom Diano. Hayes Bourgeois threw darts all day, assisting on on five of those goals. Logan Smith assisted on three others. Defensively, the Jays were led by Jack Harrell, Jackson Fischer, Liam Fitzpatrick, Sully Murray, and Cullen Mohr, who earned player of the game honors for his goaltending.
- Last week, the Junior Varsity Baseball Team completed its season, sweeping victories against Holy Cross and St. Augustine. The BlueJayVees defeated Holy Cross Thursday 4-0 behind an excellent pitching performance by Noah Casey. Casey pitched shut-out ball for 6 innings, and Logan Nelson also held the Tigers scoreless in the final inning to earn the save. Connor O’Neal and Jason Fibble had RBI hits in the victory. Then, on Friday, the BlueJayVees swept their doubleheader against St. Augustine 8-3 and 1-0. In Game 1, Cole McMyne and Declan Albro pitched a combined 1-hitter and tallied 8 strikeouts. Jason Fibble had 3 RBIs, and Logan Nelson added 2 RBIs in the win. In the nightcap, the BlueJayVees won a pitching duel 1-0. Harrison Serio threw 4 innings of no-hit baseball and struck out 7 Purple Knights. Julian Alvarado closed the game and earned the save. Marcellus Savoie produced the only run of the game on an RBI triple to right field. The BlueJayVees finished their season with a record of 13 wins against only 3 losses.
- On Saturday, the varsity baseball team defeated St. Augustine 3-2. Connor Donnelly pitched a complete game and struck out six batters. Donnelly hit a two out RBI single in the sixth inning to take the lead. Tyler Sciambra hit an RBI Triple.
