Blue Jays Close Out Regular Season Play with a Sharp 6-1 Win on the Road in Baton Rouge
Jays Have a Week to Prepare for the Playoffs
The Blue Jays ended their 2013 regular season on a cloudless Sunday afternoon (April 21) in Baton Rouge with a 6-1 win over St. Michael the Archangel. Senior pitcher Andrew Mitchell went the distance, allowing the Warriors only one run on three hits. Sophomore catcher Trent Forshag and junior second baseman Blake Baker wielded hot bats and accounted for two hits each, four of the Jays’ seven hits. Forshag had three RBIs and Baker had one RBI. The Blue Jays take a 26-8 record into the playoffs, which are scheduled to begin the week of April 29.
