Varsity Tennis Opens Season with Strong Wins Over Rummel (4-0) and Brother Martin (7-0)

Varsity Tennis decidedly defeated Bro. Martin, 7-0, on Tuesday, March 5 to win the team’s second district game of the season. Seniors Hobie Hotard, Trevor Lew, James Sampognaro and Kevin Mickan all won their singles matches. Doubles winners were Lew / Sampognaro, Mickan / sophomore Gregory Suhor, and junior Andrew Tufts / junior Jordan Lacoste.

The Blue Jays opened the season with a solid district win over Rummel, 4-0, on February 21. The team will play Newman in a competitive, non-district contest on Thursday, March 7 before heading to a tournament in Kentucky on March 21-24.
