Tennis Defeats Holy Cross (6-1) and Looks Forward to Final District Match Next Week
Tennis defeated Holy Cross, 6-1, in a non-district match on Tuesday, April 8 at UNO. Singles match winners were junior Kevin Mickan (8-3), sophomore Alex DePascual (8-0), and sophomore Gregory Suhor (8-5). Freshman Jonathan Niehaus was bested in his singles match (8-2). Winners of doubles matches were Suhor/Mickan (8-0), seniors Trevor Lew / James Sampognaro (8-1), and juniors Andrew Tufts / Jordan Lacoste (8-0).
The Blue Jays (3-0) will next play their final district game against Rummel on Tuesday, April 16. The team is preparing for the regional tournament which will be played April 22-23 at UNO.
