Quiz Bowlers Take 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in Lusher Invitational

Three Jesuit Quiz Bowl teams competed in the Lusher Invitational Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 7, and each came home with impressive finishes.

Varsity team A, composed of seniors Andrew Cerise, D.J. Ogbomah (captain), and Anthony Stoner, and junior Mitchell Barras defeated all comers while scoring an average of 397 points to their opponents’ 154.

Varsity team B, composed of junior Keegan Rooney and sophomores Robert Cerise (captain), Manuel Molina, and Caleb Rogers, went undefeated until the semi-finals and took third place. They averaged 331 points to their opponents’ 174.

The JV team, in their first competition of the season, was composed of  sophomores Nathan Alvarez (captain) and Christian Lacoste along with freshman Matthew Dowling, Bradley Fugetta, and Dexter Webster. They went 7-1 to win second place and averaged 271 points to their opponents 150.
