Basketball Team Rebounds with a Win over Warren Easton
Jesuit Defeats Warren Easton 61-43
It was a different bird in this game, and it was Jesuit this time who made the second half push to send them to victory.
After having a tough time in third quarter against the Chalmette Owls on Thursday night, the Jesuit basketball team did some third quarter dazzling of it’s own on Friday night against the Warren Easton Eagles. The Jays outscored the Eagles 19-2 in the third on its way to a 61-43 win.
Jesuit shot 90% from the free throw line, which added 19 points to their total. Hunt Conroy was the leading scorer with 19 points, and Elijah Morgan added 14. Morgan also led the Jays defensively with 3 steals, and Collin Kulivan pulled down 10 rebounds.
After a much deserved break from action for the celebration of Christmas, the Jays travel to Atlanta for the St. Pius X Tournament. The first game is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 28.
