Junior Chase Eckholdt makes a move to steal.

The Blue Jays rallied from a five point deficit in the 4th period to defeat the Tigers of Hahnville, 46-44, on Wednesday night in the opening round of the Newman Tournament. Sophomore Trey Laforge was Jesuit’s high scorer with 16 points. The Blue Jays (6-4) return to Newman on Thursday to play East Jefferson. Tipoff is scheduled at 5 p.m.
