Jesuit president Fr. Raymond Fitzgerald, S.J. ’76 thanked benefactors for their financial support of the school at the annual 1847 Society donor reception, which was held on Sunday, August 18, at The Balcony in Metairie. After offering his appreciation to parents, alumni, parents of alumni, and other friends, Fr. Fitzgerald presented plaques recognizing the efforts of volunteer leaders from the 2012-2013 school year: Celebration chairwoman Lynn Flynn, President’s Advisory Council chairman Brett Forshag ’84, LEF chairman Glenn Gillen ’85, and PAG chairman Brian North ’83. Unable to attend were Bob Bartlett ’75, who served as president of the Jesuit Alumni Association, and Andrea Legrand, who co-chaired the Celebration gala/auction.

Donors attending the reception were thanked for contributing between $500 and $2,999 to Jesuit in the 2012-2013 school year. In addition to the presentation, attendees enjoyed Blue Jay Camaraderie, delicious food, and a slideshow of parent volunteer photos from the past year.
