C.J. Avrard ’14 (2-0) got the start for Retif Oil in Wednesday night’s game against Post 307 (De La Salle High School). Avrard started slow by giving up a homerun in the bottom of the first but would quickly find his mark. Avrard pitched five innings giving up three hits and striking out five Post 307 batters.

On the offensive side, Mitch Alexander ’13 and Dylan Weston ’13 led the charge in the 13-2 victory. Alexander went 2-4 with a double and a triple that would scored two runners in the top of the second inning to take the lead. While Weston went 2-5, slamming in three runners on two stand-up doubles.

Retif returns to action on Friday, June 7, 2013 for a district battle against Ponstein’s Grocery (Holy Cross) at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium at 7 p.m.
