Let’s Play Another Game! Jesuit Meets Rummel This Saturday Afternoon at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium

Jesuit defeated the Rummel Raiders, 1-0, Wednesday night at John Ryan Stadium when the winning run crossed the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning. With a man at third and two outs, junior Brandon Sequeira’s infield hit seemed to spell doom for the Jays; but Brandon’s great hustle down the base line and an errant throw from a Raider infielder allowed the Jays to score and eventually to win an important district game.

Pitching six-complete innings, senior Cody Migliore (14) earned the win. Senior relief pitcher Andrew Mitchell (25) chalked up a save. Offensively, sophomore Trent Forshag (33) led the Jays with two hits.

Wednesday night’s game will be rebroadcasted on WHNO- TV 20 on Friday, March 29 at 8 p.m.

The Jays and the Raiders will meet a second time on Saturday afternoon, March 30 at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium. First pitch is 2:30 p.m.
