Soccer Shuts Out Caddo Magnet in Race to State Championship
Jesuit’s varsity soccer team moved one step closer in the playoffs race after defeating Caddo Magnet, 3-0, on Wednesday, February 6 at John Ryan Stadium. Senior Mason Belle accounted for all three of the game’s goals. Belle scored the first goal in the 22nd minute of the first half from about 10 yards out after an assist by junior Will McQueen and freshman Chase Rushing. The second goal was off a header in the box during the second half. The final goal came from an unassisted ten-yard shot in the 32 minute of the second half.
The Blue Jays will welcome Airline High of Shreveport to John Ryan Stadium for a quarterfinal playoff match on Mardi Gras Day starting at 4:30 p.m. Admission is $7 each for adults, students, and children (ages 6-11).
