Jesuit bowling will take its first trip in the team’s four-year existence to the semifinals of the state bowling tournament. Jesuit enters the final four as the No. 3 seed to play the No. 1 seed Vandebilt Catholic in a semifinal match at All-Star Lanes in Baton Rouge on Saturday, April 12 at 11 a.m.

Blue Jays will show their support with a Blue and White Day on Friday, April 11.

Jesuit had an unblemished district record, defeating the defending state champion Rummel team three times this season. The Blue Jays took only one loss, and that was to Brother Martin in a non-district, final regular-season match. (Read about the Jesuit – Brother Martin match.)

If the Jays win the semi-final match, they will have the opportunity to face the Crusaders one more time this year—this time, in a neutral bowling alley. The Crusaders have also advanced to the semifinals and will face Barbe in the final four. The winner of these two matches will play for the state championship that afternoon at 1 p.m.

All District Team

Seniors Andrew Prejean and Chris Totaro were honored by making the 1st Team All District for District II. Juniors Ben and Chris Ainsworth were honored by making 2nd Team All District.
