The Jesuit Wrestling Team competed in their first high school tournament of the season, the Warrior Open at St. Michael the Archangel High School in Baton Rouge on Saturday, Nov. 8.

Three wrestlers were champions winning their weight classes:
Senior Brody Martin (106 lb) defeated his teammate freshman Adam Larriviere.
Junior Guy Patron, Jr. (195 lb) defeated Travis Viener of Brother Martin High School
Senior Dominic Carmello (285 lb) defeated Jo’Vonte Wheeler of Brusly High School

Four wrestlers were finalists in their weight classes:
Freshman Adam Larriviere (106 lb)
Senior Peyton Markey (132 lb)
Junior Brandon Wolff (138 lb)
Junior Griffin Mason (152 lb)

The Jays will return to the mat in the Mandeville Open on Saturday, Nov. 15.
