Blue and White-Hot LaForge Helps Jays Crush Northlake Christian on the Road, 79-55

Senior Trey LaForge pumped in a season high 37 points to lead the Blue Jays over Northlake Christian, 79-55. The game was played in Covington on Friday, Jan. 9. It was the second straight road win for the Jays, who defeated De La Salle in a much closer contest, 47-44, on Tuesday, Jan. 6.

LaForge scored all but two of his points in the first three quarters. He had 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks in the first half alone.

Junior Rob Weiss added 16 for the Blue Jays. Others adding to the gaudy point total were senior Paul Kohnke (7), sophomore Brendan Conroy and sophomore Chris Beebe (6 each), junior Mark Beebe (4) and senior Danny Farrelly (3). Starting center Foster Moreau did not play.

The Jesuit record stands at 10-5.

The Jays open district play on Friday, Jan. 16 at home against St. Augustine. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

SCHEDULE UPDATE: Jesuit’s game against South Terrebonne scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 13, in the Birdcage, has been cancelled.
