The Force was definitely with him.

Parents’ Annual Giving drive chairman Philip Nimmo used a story from Star Wars to thank students and their parents at Morning Assembly on Friday, Sept. 25. Retelling the tale of how a lost Luke Skywalker was rescued by Yoda, the Grand Master of the Jedi Order, Nimmo thanked parents and theirs sons for believing in Jesuit and its mission. Watch his address here.

Nimmo is the captain of a PAG leadership team that includes 300 volunteer captains (current parents) and 15 tri-chairs — three per grade level  — who have worked tirelessly over the last six weeks to secure as many pledges as possible. Donations to the PAG drive help cover the cost of what Jesuit charges for tuition and the actual cost of educating a Blue Jay. Almost 4,000 alumni from across the country make up the difference with their contributions to Jesuit’s Living Endowment Fund (LEF) drive.
