Study Skills Camp

Camp Format

The camp introduces students to a variety of study skills. It includes instruction on organization, time management, note-taking, and memorization. Both camps are the same. Please sign up for one only.

John Webre, the camp’s instructor, holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in English from the University of New Orleans. He’s taught Study Skills and English at Jesuit for the past 11 years. Before coming to Jesuit, Mr. Webre taught college English, ran the Tutoring Center at Tulane, directed Testing Services at UNO, and administered aptitude tests for the Johnson O’Connor Research Foundation, the oldest and most respected aptitude testing organization in the country.

  • Campers get short 10- to 15-minute breaks each day.
  • This camp is offered as helpful instruction and is not mandatory.
  • Open to boys and girls.
