Former Jesuit Alumnus of the Year Edgar “Dooky” Chase III ’67 speaks during the first half of lunch in room 210. Chase spoke about the history of the Civil Rights movement in New Orleans, with a focus on the role of his family restaurant as a gathering place for local and national leaders. Chase delved into a number of topics including the tough and uplifting times of starting at Jesuit, cleaning the restaurant floors at 5 a.m., and the musical influences of his day.
